But basically, I think it is great! The minute I connected my JOYSTICK EXTREME 3D PRO and realized that I could use the hat and trigger to configure the controls at will and then fly with ease I fell in love. This game is very simple, but it is sheer dogfighting fun with decent graphics. I have tried games like Elite Frontier and X3, but I think there is something those developers are missing. Some people don’t want to have to study in order to be able to play a game, they want to jump in the cockpit and become Christopher Blair (Maverick from Wing Commander), an ace pilot. This game is basically a space shooter arcade with a very short storyline. But imagine if they took this flight engine and added it to an open world, does not need to be as complex as the world of Elite or even Star Citizen, just a something as simple as Freelancer (my favorite space sim ever) and you have a dream come true. I don’t care about physics, I want to trade, discover and be the ace pilot. Having said that, this game is fun and worth checking out!If I were to keep it to simple suggestions they would be:1. Have a carrier/base launch sequence - for example the launch in Eve is amazing2. Have a carrier landing sequence, approach a enter a gate at the base/carrier to land.. Wow With VR And HOTAS joystick / throttle and foot pedals This Game Is Great. It works with WMR. Good game. I played this for awhile when I first bought it and I love it. Thank you developers! It has the feel of you flying and dog fighting in your own space ship. It makes you feel your enviroment is real. I would recommend this game.. So far my favorite game as far as incorporating VR and the VR controllers into a first person flying style game. The game play is a lot of fun, my complaints would be that I found the upgrade system limited and that I ended up not being able to spend my credits on anything, would be nice to be able to buy different ships too, and it didnt have a long enough story or really feel like it had an ending. I ended up playing the last mission twice because I thought it glitched out and didnt load the next mission. Took just under 10 hours to beat and I really spent my time with everything. I would recommend the game though as I really enjoyed it overall.. Was hoping for something along the lines of good old privateer but in VR. Instead I got a half baked arcade game. I imagine it's much better with a controller, but I will not use a controller in VR. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of VR, which is immersion. Apart from the horrendous, jumpy as hell, control of the ship via the Vive controllers (and I've tried every possible control method, including flight by gaze/left/right joystick/thumbpad), the graphics and voice acting are passable for this price range, but the gameplay.. boy it gets repetitive quick. Go here, kill these guys, repeat. Not a lot of interactions. No different outcomes by your actions, no different paths to victory, no jumping factions or going rogue.Only two weapons and only two upgrades per weapon. Oversimplified upgrades, combat, missions.. everything is oversimplified to a point that it looks like an indie proof of concept and not a full game. You choose the weapon upgrades from a text menu. No images of the weapons at all, let alone a proper 3D model. If you look back at your ship after upgrading weapons, it looks the same. I don't remember if they sound the same when fired but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Not a lot of attention to detail there.I imagine it would have been much more enjoyable if the game had some kind of a true open world feeling, a sandbox element, factions, a proper NON LINEAR storyline, with side missions, proper *non-weapons related* upgrades (say, engine, shields, etc) and a true sense of open space, where you could go anywhere, dock at will with space stations and land on planets, etc etc.I'll keep waiting for a real rogue/privateer/freelancer equivalent game and enjoy From Other Suns, which is far from perfect but much closer to home for me.. The controls are a bit weird at first but once you get used to them it can get pretty fun. Only thing that is stopping this from me playing all the time is that there needs to be different things to do instead of flying to a location or fight off AI bots.Another thing that is stopping me from playing all the time is the lack of upgrades. Yeah you can buy better ammo and rockets but that is it.It is a great experience and I am glad that I got it for 15 dollars. Maybe they will add more options to the game as time moves on, but til then you have yourself a pretty awesome space dog fight game!. End Space originally released 2.5 years ago for the Gear VR and since then we have brought it to PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and most recently Oculus Go.
